World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.
For example, a weapon with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the item to the upgrade (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level with normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of an armored weapon or. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher tier version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure how much it will be improved after a reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a significant risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that double or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 whenever you can.
In the final game, you will often find that the best way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
item upgrade of upgrading items lets players increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a different item of the same type. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that it could make the item more expensive, even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can use up many resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely important in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
